Kurt initially attended Hope Chapel in 1997, serving as a part of the worship team. In 2000, he moved back to his hometown of Chicago, and then in 2003, Kurt & Sheila were married, and he pursued an MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. In 2006 the Aichele's returned to Colorado Springs to partner with Hope Chapel. By God's grace, they have been blessed with five children. Kurt currently serves as the VP of Marketing at Focus on the Family while also serving as an elder at Hope Chapel. Kurt and Sheila's desire is to grow in the calling God has placed on their lives.
Feeling called by God, Jason and his wife Jennifer moved to Colorado Springs in 1995. After serving in various capacities of ministry for more than a decade, they began attending Hope Chapel in 2007. They quickly fell in love with the church because of its focus on the Gospel, passion for the worship of the Triune God, and its close-knit community. Jason soon began serving in the children's ministry, became a CareGroup leader and also preached from time-to-time. He was anointed as an elder of Hope Chapel in 2016 and has served in that capacity ever since. Jason's passion in ministry is "to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." Jason and Jennifer have four children and a son-in-law.
Bill and Lynn moved to Colorado Springs in 1980, where they came to faith in Christ. Bill has been involved in various ministries since the beginning. They served in three growing churches in town, helping to plant one of them, before coming to Hope Chapel in 2006. Bill said it felt like “coming home.” He became an elder in 2007, filling in wherever needed. Lynn served in the office, in an administrative role. They’ve been faithful companions and co-workers for nearly fifty years. They have two grown children, and three grandchildren, two of whom have graduated college. Bill’s vision for Hope Chapel has been to create a reproducible model for a community of believers who are enthusiastic in their worship, grounded in their doctrine, and warm in their fellowship – that they might serve Christ with excellence and joy.
Wolf and his wife Jenny moved to Colorado Springs in 2014 after Wolf accepted an engineering position here. They began attending Hope Chapel regularly in the fall of that year. Wolf had served on the worship team and with the men's ministry at their previous church in Pennsylvania for several years and soon began participating in those ministries at Hope Chapel as well. Some years later, he was trained for and began leading a CareGroup. He was eventually asked to prepare a sermon for the summer campout and later went through the Elder Candidacy program before accepting a call as an Elder/Pastor in December of 2019. Wolf and Jenny were married in 2009 and enjoy the company of their "career changed" guide dogs Sonny and Jethro. Wolf's desire is to see Believers grow into Ambassadors for Christ in heart, word, and deed.
Mark and Tracy came to Colorado Springs in 2009 with their seven children and quickly realized that Hope Chapel was the place God had for them. They have been involved with Care Groups (hosting and leading), other small groups and Bible studies, and the music team for worship. Mark has been a deacon since 2018 and they both have seen their family increase with two sons-in-law, a soon-to-be daughter-in-law, and a grandchild. They desire to help the families at Hope Chapel to be spiritually and emotionally healthy and engaged in community at church and elsewhere.
Mike and Sonja have called Colorado Springs home since 2001 and came to Hope Chapel in the summer of 2011. They were married in 1993 and have four children: two adult and two in high school. Mike has served as a Care Group leader since 2013 and was appointed to be a deacon in 2015. In Hope Chapel they have found a team of elders committed to boldly proclaiming the Gospel and rightly handling God’s Word, and a body of believers who demonstrate time and again genuine love of Christ as they care for one another.
